Arrrrr mateys!, this be one of the best sinking scenes ever to be filmed with respect to the sounds but ruined by the hazy hornswoggled visual effects they went and put in thar on the film to make it look all dreamlike and all. The Sailing Master, he fixed it up as best he could by edited the clip to lighten it up and enlarge that thar wonderful sinking action but he left two non-quicksand frames in thar so as not to ruin the wonderful sound track fer all of us to enjoy. Notice how the woman has to stop screaming when the mud gets up to her lips but that we still get to hear her muffled sounds as she struggles and then disappears under the mud. I's finds it is most enjoyable if'n you slow the video down to about 25% and keeps the sound low. Here's hopin' you enjoy this little gem as much as I do shipmates!
