И_Одетт Эннэйбл/ Мэдди 22/08/2025 odetteannable He was truly one of one. My Tio Eduardo didn’t just show up to a party—he WAS the party. He taught me how to fish, ride a horse, shoot cans with a BB gun, and prank like a professional. He’d catch lizards and snakes and chase me around with them. He’d pick me up from school blasting music with his feet hanging out of the car window just to mortify me. If there was music, you better believe he was dancing. He made everything more fun. Cancer took him from us this past week, and the hole left in our family is impossible to describe. He wasn’t just my mom’s brother, he was like her son, their sibling bond was one of the most beautiful (and hilarious) I’ve ever seen. I’m grateful for every second of chaos and joy with him, and even more grateful I got to be there at the very end holding his hand. Our family will never be the same without him. 💔 Life is so short. Dance it off. Live it up. Love hard. And… Fuck cancer. Mi querido Tío Feo, en paz descanse. We will keep the party going for you even though we all know it’ll never be quite the same. 🙏🏽 And one last gift he left me with: a few weeks ago we were sitting outside on the porch, when out of nowhere he said, “I’m going to give you some advice. If anyone ever says something bad about you, or tries to bully you…say thank you. You’ll never let them win. Okay, let’s go to the casino.” 🎰 I’ll see you at the Casino or on a boat fishing.
